Supply of some Easter candy low
2024-06-14
Some candy store owners said stocking the shelves has been a challenge this Easter season.
The supply chain for candy has been up and down recently according to the owner of Blaine Boring Chocolates in Johnstown, but there are a few items that have been more difficult to get.
Blaine Boring’s owner said white chocolate has been especially fluctuating.
The owner of Blaine Boring says gummy candy has been one of the more difficult to attain, but more than anything else jellybeans have been difficult to get a hold of this easter season.
CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — When films at The State Theater of Johnstown were shown decades ago -- in black and white using primitive technologies -- nobody would've ever imagined that someday it would become an IMAX theater.
"It doesn't seem real that it's happening. You kind of just have to pinch yourself."
That's what Executive Director Eric Reighard told 6 News about the moment he heard the news: they'll be the next home of IMAX technology.
Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — Police say a 35-year-old Clearfield County man has been charged for allegedly touching two young girls.
According to a probable-cause affidavit, in October, one of the girls reported to police that Lance Spencer, of Lawrence Township, had inappropriately touched her last summer.
During a police investigation, another victim reported that Spencer had inappropriately touched her in 2010 when she was 5 years old, according to the affidavit.

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — The week's biggest releases are "Strays” and “Blue Beetle.” “Strays” is a raunchy road comedy with talking dogs. It's essentially "The Incredible Journey" told by a 13-year-old child that is obsessed with sex and body functions. Voices provided by the likes of Will Ferrell, Jamie, Foxx, Ilsa Fisher, Randall Park. Personally, I’d like those 93 minutes back. However, there are plenty of good reviews floating out on the interweb.
(WJAC) — Six months away from today is the deadline to get your REAL ID.
PennDOT officials say now is the best time to start the process to meet that October 1st deadline.
WHAT IS IT?

Beginning October 1, 2021, Pennsylvanians will need a REAL ID-compliant license, identification card, or another form of federally acceptable identification (such as a valid passport or military ID) to:
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — It was meant to serve as a lifeline for businesses who would otherwise have to make drastic cutbacks or close their doors forever thanks to the Coronavirus shutdowns.
And Pennsylvania businesses certainly grabbed at that life vest.
Our initial readout of the data released Monday by the Treasury Department and the Small Business Administration showed 165,000 small businesses with 500 or fewer employees in the commonwealth got some money from the federal Paycheck Protection Program to protect at least 1.
BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Multiple fire companies were called late Tuesday morning to a barn fire in Bedford County.

The road was shut down as crews battled the flames.
A 6 News crew on scene said water was being brought in with tanker trucks near the Alum Bank Volunteer Fire Company.
Authorities say 90 cattle were lost in the fire.
WEST CHESTER, Pa. (AP) — “Jackass” star Bam Margera punched his brother in the face during an altercation at their home in the Philadelphia suburbs, then took off on foot, Pennsylvania State Police said Monday in announcing criminal charges.
An arrest warrant was issued for Margera, 43, and police said they were looking for him.
State police said they were called to the Chester County home in response to a reported domestic disturbance shortly before 11 a.
