NEW YORK (AP) — Charlie Colin, bassist and founding member of the American pop-rock band Train, best known for their early-aughts hits like “Drops of Jupiter" and “Meet Virginia,” has died. He was 58. Colin’s sister Carolyn Stephens confirmed her brother's death to The Associated Press Wednesday. He died after slipping and falling in the shower while house-sitting for a friend in Brussels, Belgium, celebrity website TMZ.com reported. Colin grew up in California and Virginia and attended Berklee College of Music in Boston.

QUAKERTOWN, Pa. (AP) — A man drowned after rescuing two children who got into trouble while swimming at an eastern Pennsylvania state park, authorities said. The Bucks County coroner's office said Marvin Alexan Fernandez Chicas, 37, "disappeared in the water" after rescuing the children who were swimming at Nockamixon State Park on Thursday evening. The coroner's office said Friday that the cause of his death had been confirmed as drowning following an autopsy and the manner of death appeared to be accidental.

(WJAC) — According to a press release from Pennsylvania State Police, a student at the Homer-Center School District is facing charges after bringing an unloaded Airsoft BB gun to school Friday morning. Troopers say they responded to a report by the school district administration that a 13-year-old student was found in possession of an unloaded Airsoft pistol with an orange tip. A subsequent investigation revealed the student had concealed the Airsoft BB gun in his backpack and shown it to at least one other student at school, troopers said.
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (KOKH) — The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation (ODWC) said an 11-year-old boy caught an exotic Pacu in a neighborhood pond. A Pacu is a South American fish closely related to the Piranha but with human-like teeth, experts said. Pacu is an exotic, invasive species that can damage local ecosystems.
