Clara Barton House and Gardens Inc. recently obtained several grants, totaling tens of thousands of dollars from local organizations, including the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies. While the organization still needs more grant money, the reconstruction has slowly begun, starting with stabilizing the house and preventing more damage from the weather.

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A York County man is behind bars after being identified as the suspect in a double homicide in Maryland. According to Maryland authorities, the incident happened on the 1700 block of Scott Road in Pylesville Saturday evening. When police arrived, they found two men with gunshot wounds to their upper bodies. Officials say both men died at the scene with the family dog also being shot and killed.

Police said the equipment was owned by the Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC) and taken from a stream located on the property of Bilger’s Rocks in Grampian. An SRBC official said the equipment was used to track the patterns of fish in waters impacted by mine drainage. BLAIR COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — State police in Blair County say a Williamsburg man is behind bars following an investigation into allegations that he had repeatedly sexually abused a young, female relative.
